The "Hallstatt Hall" of Býčí skála, with its exceptional acoustics, is celebrated for the discovery of a remarkable Hallstatt burial — unrivalled in its grandeur in the Czech Republic, and still capturing the attention of scholars worldwide. Iva Bittová makes full use of the beauty of this underground space and the cave's unique spirit; the entire concert will be purely acoustic, with no amplification whatsoever.
It is a great privilege that the artist's demanding schedule — she lives primarily in New York and performs across the globe — could be aligned with the 60th anniversary of the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the Blueland organisation, which built and operates an eco-friendly school in the Himalayan village of Kargyak, home to a Tibetan minority community, and cares for a severely burned boy, Odzer Stanzin.
