Hidden Beauty of Moravian Karst Stones

The beauty of the local limestone is sometimes hidden — but anyone can reveal it by joining a workshop on Saturday, 20 July 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Malá dohoda quarry and the Moravian Karst Nature House.

Meeting point is at the former limestone quarry Malá dohoda. Under expert supervision, each participant finds their own magic stone, which they then cut in half, grind and polish at the Nature House using grinding sheets.

Booking is required. Open to hotel guests and the general public, including families with children.

Price (includes expert guide, stone-working tools and entry to the Nature House exhibition):
Adult: 500 CZK
Senior/student: 400 CZK
Family (2 adults and 2 children): 1,500 CZK
Family (2 adults and 1 child): 1,000 CZK
1 adult and 1 child: 750 CZK
1 adult and 2 children: 850 CZK

Each participant takes home their own polished limestone piece with a stand and information card.
