Moravian Karst and the surrounding area also host a range of sporting events. The highlights include the Blansko 10K and the Moravian Karst Half Marathon, and the traditional season opener – cold-water swimming in the Punkva river. Extend your weekend and combine sport with sightseeing.

Moravian Karst Half Marathon

A traditional annual event with a wide following across the Czech Republic, attracting nearly a thousand runners. The main race starts in Blansko town square, with the turnaround point right by Punkva Caves. Runners pass directly in front of Hotel Skalní mlýn, and our guests have become enthusiastic supporters. In addition to the main race, a range of other running events are organised, making this a truly family-friendly occasion.
